Job Title: Electromechanical Assembly Technician
Location: Simi Valley, CA
Shift: 1st Shift | Monday–Friday | 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM
Pay Rate: Up to $20.00/hour
Job Type: Contract (6 months with potential extension)
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Electromechanical Assembly Technician to perform precision assembly of small mechanical and electromechanical components. This role requires strong manual dexterity, the ability to follow technical instructions, and experience working with fine parts in a production or manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine mechanical and electromechanical assembly of small components and subassemblies.
- Work with delicate parts such as ceramic boards, fine wires, pins, and micro-components using microscopes and precision tools.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematic diagrams, and shop traveler route cards to ensure correct assembly sequence.
- Adjust, bend, align, and solder fine wires and components.
- Apply bonding materials such as epoxy, and perform heating or curing processes using specialized equipment or ovens.
- Conduct basic in-process inspections and quality checks on assembled parts.
- Follow all safety guidelines, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
- Maintain a consistent and reliable attendance record.
- Support additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in mechanical, electrical, or electromechanical assembly.
- Experience reading and understanding blueprints, schematics, or work instructions.
- Basic knowledge of quality control and inspection processes.
- Good manual dexterity and ability to work with small parts under magnification.
- Basic math skills and ability to follow detailed instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in repetitive tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in aerospace, electronics, or medical device manufacturing environments.
- Experience with soldering fine wires and micro-components.
- Prior leadership or team support experience in a production setting.
Work Environment
- Production/manufacturing environment with microscope and precision tool usage.
- Position may require extended hours, weekend work, or schedule flexibility based on production needs.
- Standing or sitting for extended periods may be required.
Education / Training
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Vocational training, technical certifications, or apprenticeships in a related field are a plus.
