In this critical role, you will conduct child-friendly, developmentally appropriate, and legally sound forensic interviews with children who may be victims of abuse or witnesses to crime. Your work will directly support investigations while prioritizing the well-being and safety of children and families.
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week. Occasional evenings, weekends, and participation in an on-call rotation are required. After-hours responsibilities are shared and are not a weekly requirement.

What You'll Do
- Conduct forensic interviews using research-based protocols in a child-focused environment
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team (MDT) members to ensure accurate, unbiased information gathering
- Participate in case reviews and advocate for appropriate services for children and families
- Maintain detailed documentation and ensure confidentiality standards are upheld
- Engage in ongoing training, peer reviews, and professional development (minimum 40 CEUs annually)
- Assist in CAC program development, team education, and community outreach efforts
- Provide testimony in court when required
- Contribute to CAC communications, including newsletters and social media
- Attend MDT meetings
- Represent the CAC at community meetings and with local organizations
- Participate in regular supervision meetings
- Maintain confidentiality and follow all protocols
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field
- Minimum 1 year of experience working with children; experience in the criminal justice system, child welfare, or multidisciplinary teams preferred
- Strong commitment to the mission of a Child Advocacy Center
- Knowledge of child development, trauma-informed practices, child abuse dynamics, and law enforcement response
- Familiarity with forensic interviewing techniques and best practices
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage complex cases, solve problems, resolve conflicts, and work both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to remain neutral and objective in sensitive situations
- Proficient in computer systems, including data entry and case management
- Awareness of vicarious trauma and commitment to self-care practices
- Willingness to work evenings/weekends and be on call as needed
- Reliable transportation required
- Must obtain the following clearances prior to hire: PA State Police Criminal History, PA Child Abuse History, FBI Criminal History, and Mandated Reporting Certificate
