What you'll be doing:
The RF Engineer II will be responsible for design and optimization and performance of a regional portion of the RAN wireless network. They will also be responsible for more high level RF design including In-building RF systems, MW solutions, small cells, large scale network optimization, LTE feature optimization, and capacity planning.
This position will involve alliance and cooperation with teammates as well as construction, site acquisition, network, field engineering, accounting, sales, NMC, and customer care to maintain and grow the Nsight CDMA, LTE, VOLTE and fixed wireless networks.
- Performs site selection/placement, tower height evaluation, antenna selection, output power levels and other details involved with the transmission and reception of cellular telephony.
- Evaluates spectrum utilization at each site, its ability to support traffic and its impact on the system, coordinates with adjacent systems and respective companies.
- Monitors and trends current system performance, makes changes to improve performance to meet market objectives of minimal dropped calls and quality audio. Analyze E911 and analyze drive test data.
- Assist Site Acquisition manager with coordinating and completing processing of all legal permits and processes associated with site design; includes dealing with FAA, FCC, state, city, county and local villages and townships.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Bachelor of Science Electrical Engineering degree or comparable experience required.
- Valid Driver’s license
