Graphic Designer (Hybrid)

Location: Washington, Washington, D.C.

Compensation Range: $35 - 40 per hour

Our client is seeking a Graphic Designer to join their team!

The temporary graphic design specialist supports our client's Marketing and Business Development team by designing professional and impactful visual materials, including social media images, print ads, web graphics, tradeshow displays, and related marketing collateral. The specialist works with the client's graphic design team and marketing leadership to apply, integrate, and adapt the client's brand and visual identity.

This is a hybrid, contract positition in Washington DC. Candidates must go onsite 3 days per week; this role is 37.5 hours per week. Parking is paid by the candidate.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities To support our client's business objectives, the specialist will design brand-compliant creative materials that include:

• Promotional Collateral: Practice group materials such as brochures, profile sheets, postcards, tool kits, white papers, and team sheets.
• Advertising: Print and digital advertising displayed in magazines, websites, and conference programs.
• Social Media: Images for our client's social media accounts.
• Exhibits: Tradeshow exhibits and displays, including booth panels and pop-up banners.
• Business Development: Pitch and proposal materials.
• Communications: Internal communications.
• The specialist will also support the audit and organization of our client's extensive stock image library, ensuring assets are accurately catalogued, consistently tagged, and easily searchable for future use.
• The specialist will review existing imagery, apply standardized naming and metadata conventions, and identify gaps or redundancies to improve the overall efficiency and usability of the collection.
  
  
  

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in graphic design.
• Skills and Technical Abilities.
• Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience with graphic design and visual identity development.
• Design Fundamentals: Strong knowledge of graphics fundamentals, typography, and use of color.
• Software Proficiency: Minimum of three (3) years of experience using the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator) and very strong proficiency with Photoshop, in particular.
• Microsoft Office: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications-in particular Word and PowerPoint-preferred.
• Brand Management: Significant experience working with and applying graphic identity style guides.
• Production: Strong working knowledge of and experience with print production methods and desktop design for print and electronic mediums.
• Vendor Relations: Ability to work effectively with vendors and effectively coordinate production schedules.
• Communication: General understanding of marketing communication methodologies and concepts; ability to communicate clearly in both oral and written form.
• Detail & Management: Exceptional attention to detail; ability to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple competing tasks, demands, and deadlines.
• Project Management: Effective time/project management skills. Ability to manage multiple projects from concept through completion and deliver them on time and on budget.
