FREELANCE VIDEOGRAPHER

Location: Toledo, Ohio
Job Type: Contract
Compensation Range: $35 - 45 per hour

We are is seeking a highly experienced Freelance Videographer / DP to join its Creative Hub as an on-call production resource. This role will support a variety of internal and external video needs, including executive announcements, interviews, and other branded content. The ideal candidate brings strong technical production expertise, especially in lighting and grip, and can step into shoots with minimal lead time while maintaining a high standard of quality and professionalism.

Freelance / on-call Creative Hub resource.

Regional availability preferred, including candidates in or within driving distance of Northwest Ohio / Detroit / Northern Ohio markets.

May be engaged for recurring shoots, short-notice requests, or backup coverage.

Responsibilities:

• Lead on-site video capture for interviews, executive communications, and branded content.
• Design and execute strong lighting setups, particularly for talking-head and announcement-style content.
• Apply grip knowledge to shape, block, and modify lighting in real-world environments.
• Collaborate with internal producers and creative team members on shot setup, production approach, and execution.
• Operate effectively in both planned and fast-turn production scenarios.
• Use given production equipment when needed, while also being comfortable working with personal gear.
• Support multiple shoot types, ranging from polished internal communications to documentary-style capture as needed.
• Maintain a calm, professional presence when working with executives, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications:

• Strong professional experience as a videographer, DP, or camera operator in branded, corporate, agency, or commercial production environments.
• Demonstrated expertise in lighting and grip.
• Strong understanding of interview and announcement-style production setups.
• Experience working on-site with internal stakeholders and business teams.
• Ability to work quickly and independently with limited lead time.
• Strong communication skills and collaborative working style.
• Comfortable traveling to shoots in the regional market on short notice.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Canon camera systems and related production equipment.
• Ability to provide personal production gear when appropriate.
• Drone certification.
• Experience with both polished commercial-style execution and nimble documentary/run-and-gun shooting.
