You'll develop and revise estimates for low to moderately complex capital projects, support project management in hitting established budgets, and track unit rate and cost trends to flag budget impacts early.
InEight experience is required. T&D background preferred — general construction estimating experience will also be considered.

What You Need
Education & Experience — One Of The Following
- BS in Engineering, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent technical degree 4 years of progressively responsible cost control, estimating, or scheduling experience (4 years in the utility industry preferred)
- 6 years combined experience in utility cost control and/or a professional technical role performing cost control, estimating, or forecasting
Day to Day
Estimating
- Independently develop and maintain cost estimates for new capital projects, modifications, and enhancements
- Build and maintain estimates in InEight, ensuring data integrity and consistent application of cost standards
- Determine project scope by coordinating across organizations to gather the information needed
- Verify project information against the approved budget and make cost/benefit recommendations
- Report actual cost vs. estimate to management and help develop corrective action plans
- Analyze unit rate and cost trends to establish project impacts
- Support project management walkdowns for budgeting, cost control, and estimating
- Mentor team members on estimating and cost techniques
- Maintain the Project Estimating Manual and labor standards databases
- Stay current on industry estimating practices
