Position Overview:
CEI (Computer Enterprises, Inc.) is seeking a Databricks Solution Sales Leader to drive enterprise consulting revenue within its Data & AI solutions portfolio. This role focuses on identifying and developing opportunities where modern data platforms can address client needs related to analytics, scalability, and AI enablement. The position operates within a collaborative sales environment, working alongside internal teams and external partners to position solutions and deliver value to enterprise clients. This is a quota-carrying individual contributor role with a strong emphasis on direct sales execution. The individual will be responsible for building pipeline, engaging prospective and existing clients, and managing opportunities through the full sales lifecycle. The role involves positioning Databricks as part of broader consulting solutions, aligning services to client objectives, and driving revenue through new business development and account expansion. Success in this position requires the ability to operate independently, navigate complex enterprise environments, and consistently convert opportunities into closed business outcomes.
Required Skills/Experience/Qualifications:
- 10 years of experience in enterprise consulting/services sales within a system integrator or similar environment
- Proven track record as a quota-carrying individual contributor, with clear ownership of pipeline generation, deal progression, and revenue attainment
- Demonstrated success closing enterprise consulting engagements ($500K–$5M ), including full lifecycle sales ownership
- Direct experience selling Databricks-led or data platform consulting services, with the ability to articulate how those services drive business outcomes
- Strong experience monetizing Databricks within enterprise accounts, including landing initial engagements, expanding into multi-use case environments, and scaling into multi-million-dollar services revenue
- Experience building net-new pipeline (new logos) while also expanding existing enterprise accounts through land-and-expand strategies
- Hands-on experience working within the Databricks partner ecosystem, including co-sell alignment, partner engagement, and joint GTM efforts
- Strong understanding of Lakehouse architecture, data engineering pipelines, analytics workloads, and AI/ML use cases
- Experience leveraging cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP) to support Databricks-related opportunities
- Ability to engage and influence C-level stakeholders (CIO, CDO, business leaders) and align solutions to business outcomes
- Clear demonstration of being a revenue-driving seller, not operating primarily as presales, technical support, or alliance-only resource
Preferred Skills (Not Required):
- Experience scaling or contributing to a Databricks-focused practice within a consulting organization
- Familiarity with Databricks-native capabilities such as MLflow, Unity Catalog, or GenAI-related tooling
- Experience building or selling accelerators or repeatable solutions tied to data and AI use cases
- Prior experience working in multi-alliance environments (Databricks, AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft)
- Exposure to partner programs, certifications, or influence-based selling motions
Day to Day/Responsibilities:
- Build and manage a personal pipeline by identifying and pursuing opportunities across both net-new accounts and existing client relationships
- Conduct outreach and account engagement to generate demand for data platform and Databricks-related consulting services
- Lead discovery discussions with enterprise stakeholders to understand challenges related to data architecture, analytics, and scalability
- Position Databricks and related data solutions within the context of broader business needs, aligning capabilities to client objectives
- Develop and execute account strategies that drive both initial entry and expansion across multiple business units
- Drive land-and-expand motions, growing smaller engagements into larger, multi-phase consulting opportunities
- Collaborate with internal teams to align solution approach, ensuring proposals are both technically sound and commercially viable
- Leverage relationships with platform and cloud partners (e.g., Databricks, AWS, Azure, GCP) to support deal progression and strengthen positioning
- Translate technical solutions into business value by focusing on ROI, KPIs, and measurable outcomes
- Manage the full sales lifecycle, including qualification, solution positioning, proposal development, negotiation, and deal closure
- Maintain accountability for revenue targets and pipeline health, ensuring consistent progress toward quota
- Support internal sales teams in a limited capacity by providing Databricks-related context or expertise when relevant to broader opportunities
- Continuously refine approach based on market feedback, client needs, and successful deal patterns
