Key Responsibilities
- Solid understanding of food service basics (sanitation, ordering, rotation, menu planning, customer service, knife skills, hygiene)
- Lead catering operations, including soups, entrées, convenience items, and salad bar prep
- Line cooking in a fast-paced environment (setup, cooking to order, cleaning, safe food storage)
- Works with urgency to meet goals and deadlines
- Maintains safe, efficient kitchen practices and etiquette
- Supports team and leadership by improving processes and workflows
- Organizes catering events, including menu planning and logistics with customers
- Manages multiple tasks and projects independently
- Assists with grill station setup and daily operations
- Uses food service ordering systems and supports customers with them
- Assists with invoice processing
- Delivers strong customer service and collaborates with team and leadership
- Identifies issues and implements solutions
- Seeks learning opportunities and develops skills
- Contributes ideas to improve efficiency and standardize processes
- Mentors and supports team members
- Assists with weekly inventory ordering
- Plans weekly menus and manages inventory
Required Skills
- Minimum of 6 years relevant work experience.
- Deliver quality, accurate work within established deadlines.
- Written and verbal communication skills.
- Time management skills.
- Exercise independent judgment on projects and assignments.
- Manager level ServSafe Certified or become certified within six months of hiring.
- Able to physically perform tasks involving bending, stooping, lifting up to 50 pounds, and walking and standing for extended periods of time.
- Able to work as part of a team.
