This position starts with working alongside Mom in the home to build a positive relationship and will grow into independent respite time, where Mom can take breaks out of the home.

Care to take place within the child's home
Schedule: Flexible — schedule to be confirmed with the parent in advance. Preferred availability for late afternoons/evenings and weekends
Responsibilities
- Engage the child in fun, screen-free activities such as crafts, reading, homework help, and creative projects/activities.
- Be active and hands-on — think soccer, Pokémon GO adventures, rock collecting, tinkering, and imaginative play.
- Support the child’s independence and emotional regulation in a calm, structured way.
- Work with mom closely to learn child's routine and regulation styles, developing into independent care slowly giving mom valuable respite time
About the Child
- Loves spinning flags, soccer, tinkering, building things, Pokémon, Lucas the Spider, Bluey, and Spider-Man
- May need gentle support or redirection during transitions or when preferred activities end
- Can sometimes wander off when distracted, so awareness and safety attentiveness are vital

- Active and outdoorsy, enjoys playing and moving around
- Calm under pressure and compassionate in all interactions
- Pet friendly
Qualifications:
- Driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and auto insurance required
- Must be able to pass a caregiver/criminal background check
- Experience working with children with unique needs
- Comfort with giving gentle hygiene reminders
- Patient, fun, and loving attitude toward children
