2nd shift - (10% shift differential on top of base pay)

Job Summary:
Responsible for the set up and operation of Digital presses with ability to produce high quality printing of products as per job jacket instructions. Must be able to set up and produce according to standards and pre-determined run times.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Demonstrates the behaviors of punctuality, regular attendance, professionalism towards supervisors and co-workers, and self-directed task completion.
- Maintains clean work area.
- Must comply with all departmental SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures), company GMP's (Good Manufacturing Practices), Employee Handbook Policies, including attendance, and all safety rules and standards.
- Works normal shift hours and overtime as required.
- Coordinates efforts as part of the team to provide assistance to all co-workers in all departments to maximize production efficiencies as needed.
- Must have the ability to read a standard ruler to 1/32" and a metric ruler to 1 mm.
- Trains co-workers and new hires to set up, operate and use equipment.
- Receives and reviews job jackets, specifications, and customer requirements.
- Retrieves or receives necessary materials such as paper, inks, plates, etc. and sets up press in accordance with job specifications and customer requirements.
- Secures approvals before running job and then solves problems to ensure quality is excellent; seeks help as needed.
- Operates press and constantly monitors work to produce quality product that is color correct, in registration and meets customer requirements.
- Maintains work to meet schedules, ship dates and deadlines.
- Prepares production records, reports, etc.
- Maintains all equipment by performing routine maintenance and cleaning.
- Operates hand truck and hand tools, press, slitter and various equipment as needed.
- Reports malfunctions on equipment.
Required Skills/Abilities:

- Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.

- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent.
- Ability to read a standard ruler to 1/32” and a metric ruler to 1mm.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Physical Requirements:
Regularly required to stand and reach with hands and arms.
Frequently required to walk; stoop, kneel, crouch and talk or hear.
Frequently lift and/or carry up to 25 pounds and push/pull up to 125 pounds.
Requires constant movement and bending.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, dust, chemicals and vibration.
The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
