Job Summary
Performs a wide range of tasks to maintain and repair buildings, grounds, and equipment to ensure a safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing environment. This can include routine maintenance, repairs, inspections, and responding to work requests.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and repairs including patching, painting, plumbing, electrical, and other tasks as needed.
- Conduct routine inspections of buildings and spaces to identify and address maintenance issues.
- Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies in a timely manner.
- Maintain and repair equipment and systems, such as mechanical systems, and appliances.
- Perform groundskeeping and landscaping duties, including snow removal, as required.
- Assist with cleaning and maintaining the cleanliness of facilities and grounds.
- Follow established procedures and complete the required documentation for work performed.
- Coordinate with external contractors and vendors as needed.
- Ensure compliance with relevant safety regulations and codes.
- Provide support for special events including setup and cleanup.
Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or GED required. Experience in general maintenance, groundskeeping, or related trades preferred.
Knowledge/Skills
- Knowledge of standard tools, equipment, materials, and practices used in building maintenance.
- Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to the role.
- Ability to read and interpret technical instructions and drawings.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
- Valid driver's license may be required.
