Building Maintenance

• Sweeping/mopping floors, operating scrap compactor, emptying trash containers, running floor scrubber, collecting/compacting cardboard, etc.
• Order/distribute supplies.
• Coordinate waste removal (roll-off).
• Perform all related building maintenance duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.
• Maintain acceptable housekeeping and safety standards.
• Ability to work neatly in housekeeping.
• Ability to work without supervision.
• Ability to stand and lift.
• Qualified forklift operator (previous experience required)

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or GED equivalence.   

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, and use hands, fingers, and feet.  The employee is occasionally required to sit, twist/turn, stoop/bend, squat, and perform overhead work.  The employee must occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust one’s focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet humid, or cold conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes, chemicals, and extreme heat. 

The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to loud depending on the work location.
