Summary/Objective
The Flexographic Press Operator’s primary function is to set up and operate flexo presses to produce items consistent with customer specifications.

Essential Functions

- Set up press. Use appropriate dies, inks and other materials as specified by the order. Load rolls of stock on the press.
- Operate press. Make press adjustments as needed to ensure print consistency, quality and registration. Verify proper color shades, die cuts, etc. Ensure items are varnished, glued, and/or folded as needed.
- Mount printing plates properly on cylinders.
- Adjust and mix inks per job requirement.
- Obtain approval of product before press run. Run job at pre-determined run speed. Maintain waste levels within set parameters. Unload product at end of line.
- Coordinate press crew efforts with other operators. Train other workers as instructed.
- Maintain safe, clean workstation. Place waste in appropriate containers.
- Maintains clean work area and supports procedures and practices dedicated to ensuring products meet safety requirements, customer required standards and regulatory standards.
- Complete all forms. Maintain records, files, and/or logs as required.
- Assist other employees as instructed.
- Inspect, catch, stack and package material as needed.
- Operate other presses and equipment as requested.
- Training other co-workers as needed for production demands.
- Other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by Lead/Supervisor/Manager.
