Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team in Gatesville, TX. This role involves reviewing project plans, preparing accurate cost estimates, and supporting our team throughout the bidding process. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in construction estimating.
Duties
- Review project plans, drawings, and specifications to determine scope of work
- Perform quantity take-offs for materials, labor, and all trade components
- Request and review pricing from subcontractors and suppliers
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects
- Track and maintain cost data and pricing information
- Work closely with project managers and team members to ensure accurate bids
- Identify potential risks or cost-saving opportunities
- Prepare and submit bid proposals
- Attend pre-bid meetings or site visits when needed
- Assist with project handoff after award
- Maintain organized estimate files and documentation
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience as a construction estimator preferred
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and documents
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and project types
- Experience with estimating software (such as Procore, On-Screen Takeoff, QuickBid)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple bids and meet deadlines
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Degree in Construction Management or related field preferred, but not required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
