About Us
MM Concrete Construction is a fast-growing commercial concrete contractor serving Central Texas. We specialize in foundations, flatwork, paving, curb & gutter, tilt wall, and large-scale commercial concrete projects. We are looking to add a skilled Commercial Concrete Estimator to support continued growth and strengthen relationships with general contractors and vendors.
Position Overview
The Commercial Concrete Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive bids for commercial concrete projects, performing detailed quantity takeoffs, and maintaining strong relationships with vendors and general contractors.
Responsibilities
Prepare detailed estimates for commercial concrete projects
Perform accurate quantity takeoffs using PlanSwift
Review construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents
Solicit pricing from vendors and suppliers
Maintain and grow relationships with vendors, suppliers, and general contractors
Track bids, follow up with GCs, and assist with bid clarifications and revisions
Coordinate with project managers and field teams to verify scope and pricing
Maintain organized bid files and historical cost data
Requirements
Proven experience as a commercial concrete estimator
PlanSwift proficiency required
Established relationships with vendors and general contractors
Strong understanding of commercial concrete scopes (foundations, flatwork, paving, curb & gutter, etc.)
Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and estimating software
Self-motivated, dependable, and detail-oriented
Preferred Qualifications
3 years of commercial concrete estimating experience
Familiarity with the Central Texas commercial construction market
Experience with negotiated and hard-bid projects
