We are seeking an experienced Senior Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to join our team. The Senior ISSO will report directly to the ISSO Team Lead in OCS and serve as a trusted cybersecurity consultant to SCDHHS leadership, business units, partners, and vendors.
This role requires a proven background in developing and maintaining critical security documentation such as System Security Plans (SSPs), Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs), Interconnection Security Agreements (ISAs), Computer Matching Agreements (CMAs), and supporting interviews, audits, and assessments as part of RMF/Assessment and Authorization (A&A) compliance activities.
Key Responsibilities
- \Provide expertise in IBM System 390/zSeries, Windows, Linux, databases (relational & non-relational), networking infrastructure, and web-based applications.
- Work within a FISMA-compliant program to maintain regulatory standards.
- Leverage experience with eGRC systems to support security governance and reporting.
Mandatory Qualifications
- 5 years of IT experience with exposure to IBM System 390/zSeries, Windows, Linux, databases, networking, and web applications.
- ISC(2), ISACA, SANS GIAC and/or other Information Security Certification is required.
- Experience in FISMA-compliant programs.
- Hands-on experience with eGRC systems.
- Prior Health Information Technology experience.
- Strong track record with RMF, SSPs, PIAs, ISAs, CMAs, and related artifacts.
- Healthcare Domain Background
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field OR 10 years of equivalent experience.
Preferred Skills
- ITIL experience in Information Security Management.
- Experience with Dd Boost to support Oracle backup/restore operations.
- Experience with Oracle Grid Control and Oracle ASM.
