Overview:
We’re looking for an experienced Production/Operations Manager to lead second-shift operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment that supports assembly, welding/fabrication, and electrical production.
This is a key leadership role for someone who knows how to drive performance on the floor, develop supervisors, keep production on schedule, and maintain high standards for safety and quality. You’ll work closely with plant leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure efficient operations, strong communication, and consistent output.
What You’ll Do
- Lead second shift production through a team of supervisors across multiple manufacturing areas
- Drive performance in safety, quality, productivity, and schedule attainment
- Coordinate labor, materials, equipment, and workflow to meet production goals
- Partner with safety and quality teams to reduce incidents, improve first-pass yield, and minimize rework
- Monitor key production metrics, including throughput, downtime, cycle time, uptime, and labor efficiency
- Coach and develop supervisors to strengthen accountability, leadership, and team performance
- Identify process improvement opportunities to improve workflow, standardization, and overall output
- Maintain strong communication with plant leadership around production needs, priorities, and operational performance
- Support onboarding, training, and overall readiness of production employees
What We’re Looking For
- 12 years of progressive manufacturing experience
- Background in assembly, metal fabrication, welding, or similar industrial environments
- Proven leadership experience in a high-volume, deadline-driven operation
- Strong understanding of production planning, resource coordination, and shop floor execution
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, safety practices, and quality systems
- Ability to analyze production data and turn it into action
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
