We’re hiring an Engineering Manager to lead a multidisciplinary team focused on designing and delivering complex engineered systems tied to off-site manufacturing, industrial equipment, and custom-built project environments.
This role is especially well-suited for someone coming out of an HVAC equipment, boiler equipment, material handling, conveyor design, or similar engineered-to-order equipment business. The right person will bring a mix of technical leadership, team management, and practical design coordination across mechanical, electrical, and structural disciplines.
What this role touches:
- Leadership of a multidisciplinary engineering and design team
- Oversight of Mechanical, Electrical, and Structural Engineers, along with Designers
- Engineering strategy and execution for complex custom-built systems and projects
- Coordination across clients, architects, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders
- Review and approval of designs, models, and technical deliverables
- Cross-functional integration of mechanical, electrical, and structural systems
- Workflow improvement, design quality, constructability, and delivery performance
- Compliance, risk management, and alignment with schedule and budget
- Client-facing communication, technical presentations, and progress updates
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Structural Engineering, or a related field
- 7 years of progressive engineering experience, including 3 years in a leadership or management role
- Strong background leading engineers and designers in a complex project environment
- Experience coming from an HVAC equipment, boiler equipment, material handling, conveyor build/design, or similar engineered systems company
- Strong technical understanding of mechanical, electrical, and structural systems
- Experience with Revit, Inventor, Navisworks, or similar BIM and 3D modeling tools
- Familiarity with BIM workflows, clash detection, and design coordination
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of building, mentoring, and managing high-performing teams
- Ability to work across multiple stakeholder groups, including clients, architects, engineers, vendors, and project teams
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making ability
- Familiarity with continuous improvement, DfMA principles, prefabrication, modular delivery, or related construction-focused workflows is a plus
- PE preferred, PMP a plus
- Limited travel

Salary : $150,000 - $160,000
