SUMMARY:
CBTS is searching for a seasoned Infrastructure Project Manager with Mergers and Acquistions experience to lead and coordinate large-scale network refresh initiatives as well as network integration activities related to mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures. This role sits within the network engineering function and is responsible for planning, execution, and stakeholder alignment for projects that impact enterprise connectivity, routing, and network modernization.
The ideal candidate brings strong project management skills combined with experience in network engineering environments, especially in complex enterprise settings undergoing transition or growth. Initial focus will be on executing network refresh programs, followed by broader M&A-related integration responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Lead planning and delivery of enterprise-wide network refresh efforts, including hardware upgrades, switch/router replacements, and wireless improvements.
- Coordinate deployment timelines, equipment staging, change windows, and logistics across multiple sites and teams.
- Ensure minimal disruption to operations during refresh activities through detailed scheduling and stakeholder coordination.
- Drive all network-related activities tied to M&A lifecycle phases including due diligence, Day 0/Day 1 readiness, and post-close transition.
- Develop integration plans addressing connectivity, routing, firewall alignment, segmentation, and DNS/DHCP harmonization.
- Collaborate with the security team to ensure aligned implementation of firewall and access policies during integration.
- Coordinate closely with internal engineering, field services, security, and infrastructure teams.
- Engage and manage third-party vendors, telecom providers, and equipment suppliers to deliver on project objectives.
- Track deliverables, enforce timelines, and escalate risks to ensure continuity and quality of services.
- Maintain structured documentation for network changes, architecture diagrams, and implementation playbooks.
- Support site readiness assessments, site survey planning, and phased rollout strategies.
- Deliver progress reports, risk updates, and milestone tracking to senior stakeholders and technical leadership.
- Act as the primary point of contact for network project status, decisions, and escalations.
- Facilitate regular communication with site contacts, field engineers, and business units to ensure successful execution.
- Present technical roadmaps and updates in business-friendly terms to non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification
- 7 years of project management experience, including at least 3 years focused specifically on network engineering initiatives.
- Demonstrated success leading enterprise Infrastructure network refresh efforts and/or network integration projects during mergers or divestitures.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise networking technologies, including switching, routing, WAN/LAN, wireless, DNS/DHCP, and segmentation.
- Hands-on familiarity with network modernization technologies (e.g., SD-WAN, network automation, zero-touch provisioning).
- Experience with vendor coordination for circuit provisioning, hardware installation, and support escalation.
- Understanding of change management and site deployment processes in large enterprise environments.
- Understands site decommissioning and managing deactivation of equipment and services.
- Proven ability to manage distributed teams, coordinate across functions, and drive results in fast-paced environments.
- Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills.
