Job Responsibilities / Typical Day in the Role
Set and Drive Platform Strategy
- Define the strategic vision and roadmap for the Studio Economics platform—focusing on modularity, scalability, and reuse across business domains and technical teams.
- Identify and prioritize platform capabilities (e.g., shared APIs, orchestration layers, semantic models, monitoring tools) that enable product pods to build faster and more consistently.
- Translate enterprise goals (real-time analytics, AI-readiness, automation) into a platform operating model that enables rapid delivery while preserving long-term stability.
- Lead Architecture Evolution and Technical Alignment
- Oversee the evolution of the cloud-native platform architecture, ensuring technical decisions align with both Studio product needs and enterprise standards.
- Partner with the Cloud Architect to define and maintain infrastructure patterns (e.g., serverless compute, event-based workflows) that are secure, cost-effective, and scalable.
- Work with the Data Architect to ensure data products, pipelines, and canonical models are reusable, governed, and discoverable across domains.
- Enable Cross-Pod Delivery Through Shared Services
- Define platform services (e.g., API Gateway, CI/CD pipelines, schema registries, observability tooling) that streamline onboarding and reduce friction across product pods.
- Drive standardization of architectural patterns and tooling without sacrificing flexibility—balancing governance with usability.
- Track platform adoption, reuse metrics, and feedback loops, and adjust investments based on business outcomes and delivery team needs.
- Champion Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement
- Establish and enforce SLAs, automation standards, and observability baselines (e.g., CloudWatch, X-Ray, OpenSearch) to support production-grade operations.
- Proactively identify platform bottlenecks or fragmentation risks and guide remediation strategies in collaboration with engineers and architects.
- Lead platform retrospectives, incident reviews, and improvement efforts that increase resilience, maintainability, and developer productivity.
- Facilitate Collaboration and Governance
- Act as the primary steward of platform intake, backlog prioritization, and cross-pod coordination—ensuring clarity around platform capabilities and escalation paths.
- Represent the platform in executive forums, product councils, and architecture boards, communicating progress, dependencies, and upcoming enhancements.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise security, governance, and regulatory standards—working closely with infosec, compliance, and data governance team
Must Have Skills / Requirements
- 5–10 years of experience in platform strategy, enterprise architecture, or technical product management within complex, multi-product or multi-domain environments.
- Demonstrated success defining and executing platform roadmaps, including delivery of shared services, reusable components, and scalable infrastructure across teams or workstreams.
- Deep technical proficiency in AWS-native architectures, including services such as Lambda, Step Functions, AppSync, API Gateway, RDS, DynamoDB, S3, CloudFront, and Cognito.
- Strong understanding of modular architecture principles, including service abstraction, API design, domain-driven design, and CI/CD integration patterns.
- Experience driving platform adoption and standardization, including implementation of observability tooling (e.g., CloudWatch, OpenSearch, X-Ray), service-level automation, and operational metrics.
Functional Knowledge / Skills in the following areas:
- You’ll thrive in this role if you:
- Think in Systems and Services
- You view the platform not as infrastructure alone, but as a suite of reusable building blocks that enable consistent, intelligent application delivery at scale.
- Lead with Strategic Agility

- Unify Through Enablement
- You bring technical leaders together around shared practices, patterns, and reusable assets—removing friction while encouraging autonomy and speed.
- Advocate for Developer Experience
- You care deeply about ease-of-use, integration simplicity, and documentation that makes the right path obvious and repeatable.
- Bridge Business and Technology
- You operate as a translator—ensuring the platform continuously adapts to business evolution and emerging user needs.
- You’re likely a strong fit if you bring:
- Collaboration with Architects and Engineers
- Ability to partner with Cloud and Data Architects to ensure infrastructure, pipelines, and APIs are designed with reuse, governance, and extensibility in mind.
- Strong Communication and Product Mindset
- Proven ability to translate platform strategies into measurable outcomes, communicate trade-offs clearly, and align stakeholders across disciplines.
- Bias for Enablement and Value Delivery
- You prioritize simplicity, automation, and developer experience—making it easier for teams to adopt platform capabilities and focus on delivering business value.
