Accountant

Join a growing commercial construction company and play a key role in keeping financials accurate, timely, and audit-ready. We’re looking for a hands-on Senior Corporate Accountant to own core GL activities, monthly close, reconciliations, sales tax and business licenses, and to support audits and special projects. You’ll also partner with Regional Controllers to drive process accuracy and efficiency across multiple locations. This position is ONSITE.

What you’ll do

• Prepare accurate journal entries and manage an efficient month-end close
• Reconcile GL and maintain detailed balance sheet schedules (insurance accruals, long-term debt, equity)
• Support sales/use tax and business license tracking and filings
• Administer corporate card activity and maintain vendor receivable schedules
• Assist with insurance and financial statement audits
• Tackle ad hoc requests and provide accounting support to Regional Controllers

What you bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 3 years of accounting experience in commercial roofing or closely related construction
• Solid GAAP knowledge; strong analytical, technical, and organizational skills
• High attention to detail; proven ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines
• Collaborative, self-starter mindset with strong problem-solving and communication skills

Bonus points

• Construction accounting (WIP, job cost) experience
• Experience with construction ERPs; Foundation and DataForma preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365
