At CBI Bank & Trust, we believe strong communities create stronger futures. We are looking for an energetic, relationship-focused Community Outreach Specialist to join our team and serve as a visible ambassador of our mission and values throughout the communities we serve.

In this role, you will develop meaningful partnerships, organize community events, promote financial education, and connect individuals and organizations with the resources available through CBI Bank & Trust. Working closely with the Bank’s Relationship Managers and other business lines, you will help strengthen community relationships, identify opportunities for engagement, and support the Bank's commitment to local growth and development.

What You Will Do

• Develop and maintain relationships with schools, nonprofit organizations, chambers of commerce, community groups, local businesses, and civic leaders.
• Coordinate the Bank's participation in community events, parades, festivals, sponsorships, volunteer activities, and networking opportunities.
• Plan and execute outreach events from start to finish, including logistics, staffing, materials, registration, promotion, and follow-up.
• Develop initiatives that increase community engagement and strengthen awareness of CBI Bank & Trust.
• Collaborate with Commercial Banking, Retail Banking, Wealth Management, Treasury Management, and other teams to identify opportunities for community involvement and relationship development.
• Serve as a liaison between community partners and internal departments to connect people with the right banking resources and expertise.
• Deliver financial education programs for schools, businesses, nonprofit organizations, and community groups.
• Create presentations and educational content focused on topics such as budgeting, saving, credit, fraud prevention, financial wellness, and small business banking.
• Maintain a calendar of community events, speaking engagements, outreach opportunities, and volunteer activities.
• Partner with the Marketing team to promote community initiatives through social media, advertising, public relations, and internal communications.
• Track outreach activities, sponsorships, volunteer participation, and community engagement metrics.
• Represent CBI Bank & Trust at public events, meetings, and community functions as a trusted and professional ambassador.
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in communications, Marketing, Business, Public Relations, Education, Community Development, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Two or more years of experience in community outreach, public relations, event planning, marketing, education, nonprofit engagement, business development, customer relationship management, or banking.
• Bilingual proficiency, particularly Spanish, is a required.
• Strong presentation and public speaking skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.
• Proven ability to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and social media platforms.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Flexibility to attend occasional evening and weekend events.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience coordinating community events, sponsorships, volunteer programs, or educational initiatives.
• Experience delivering financial education or financial wellness programs.
• Knowledge of commercial banking, small business banking, or relationship management.
• Experience using CRM systems to manage contacts and relationships.
