Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers and other commercial vehicles to transport freight across various routes, including over-the-road (OTR) driving routes. Your expertise will ensure timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies. Responsibilities
- Navigate routes using GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery times and maintain accurate delivery schedules.
- Follow FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, and hazardous materials regulations at all times during operations.
- Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, cargo manifests, inspection reports, and delivery documentation in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route changes, delivery updates, or safety concerns.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a valid CDL A license.
- Knowledge of logistics cargo handling procedures including load & unload operations and securing freight properly.
- Ability to operate GPS navigation systems confidently for route planning and navigation.
- Understanding of FMCSA regulations, hazardous materials regulations, DOT requirements, and safety protocols for dangerous goods..
