Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Superintendent-Construction to lead and oversee construction projects from inception to completion. This pivotal role demands a proactive leader who can coordinate multiple teams, manage resources efficiently, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in compliance with safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction management, excellent supervisory skills, and a passion for driving project excellence through meticulous planning and execution.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise all on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans, schedules, and safety protocols.
- Coordinate with project managers, General Contractors,, and clients to facilitate seamless communication and workflow.
- Oversee quality control processes, ensuring work meets all specifications, schematics, and industry standards.
- Manage project budgets by monitoring costs, reviewing contracts, and implementing cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
- Conduct regular site inspections using tools like an ohmmeter to verify electrical systems and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Review blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to clarify project scope and resolve technical issues promptly.
- Implement safety programs aligned with OSHA standards to promote a safe working environment for all personnel.
- Supervise construction teams, providing guidance on best practices in construction management and site safety.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of project progress, change orders, RFIs (Requests for Information), and other critical records.
Skills
- Extensive experience in construction site management with proven supervisory capabilities.
- Proficiency in construction management software such as ProCore and Microsoft Office.
- Strong knowledge of contracts, bidding processes, budgeting, and construction estimating techniques.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Familiarity with Construction Projects in the Finishing Trades.
- Excellent project scheduling skills with the ability to anticipate delays and implement corrective actions swiftly.
- Deep understanding of OSHA regulations and safety protocols relevant to heavy construction sites.
- Skilled in managing multiple teams while maintaining high standards of quality control.
Pay: $75,000.00 per year
