What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Audit Analyst position at Cato Corporation?
JOB SUMMARY: Manage and control the day-to-day operations of the sales audit/banking department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Coordinate daily/weekly/monthly workflow and scheduling of all Sales Audit/Banking job functions.
2. Monthly sales audit balancing.
3. Reconcile and analyze corporate/store level bank, cash, receivable, and liability accounts.
4. Weekly and monthly preparation of sales audit/banking reports.
5. Coordinate and control sales audit/banking manual and system generated journal entries for month-end closing.
6.Support special projects and cross-functional initiatives as assigned.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Communicate with all levels of corporate/store personnel along with outside vendors and customers.
2. Coordinate new store openings.
3. Coordinate/delegate/perform miscellaneous departmental job functions.
4. Assist department manager and associates.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: Associate or Bachelor degree in Business Administration or Accounting or equivalent experience.
WORK EXPERIENCE: Three to five years banking/accounting experience preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
1. Above average knowledge, skills, understanding relating to bank accounts and their reconciliation.
2. Above average knowledge, skills, understanding relating to double entry accounting.
3. Courteous, professional personality and appearance.
4. Strong oral and written communication and organizational skills.
5. Ability to meet strict weekly and monthly deadlines.
6. General 10-key, FAX, and copy machine knowledge.
7. PC proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word for Windows. Oracle Financials a Plus.
