Join the Catering St Louis Event Staff Team! Be a part of team that provides memorable events at some of St Louis most beautiful location.
The Utility / Prep Cook supports the Kitchen Manager and catering team with food preparation, event setup, service, and cleanup. This is a hands-on position requiring teamwork, flexibility, and the ability to work in a fast-paced event environment.
We will work with your schedule and availability.
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload trucks with food, equipment, and supplies for events.
- Take direction from the Kitchen Manager and assist with assigned kitchen tasks.
- Complete basic food prep, including cutting, portioning, assembling, and garnishing.
- Plate and prepare food for seated dinners, buffets, and other events.
- Assist chefs and cooks with food production and service as needed.
- Wash and sanitize dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
- Maintain clean and organized kitchen and prep areas throughout the event.
- Replenish food and supplies during service as directed.
- Assist with event breakdown, cleaning, packing, and reloading equipment.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and company procedures.
- Perform other duties as needed to support a successful event.
Qualifications:
- Catering, restaurant, or kitchen experience preferred but not required.
- Reliable, hardworking, and comfortable working as part of a team.
- Able to take direction and adapt to changing priorities.
- Able to stand for extended periods and lift/carry equipment and supplies.
- Available to work evenings, weekends, and varying event schedules.
- Requires frequent lifting of up to 25 lbs.

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
