12-month contract for a Jr. MEP/Construction Project Coordinator in Santa Clara, CA
***We are looking for Jr. level candidates with previous data center construction or MEP (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) experience local to Santa Clara, CA ***
Our client is seeking a Jr. MEP/Construction Technical Program Manager to support the planning, coordination, and execution of mission critical data center projects. This role will partner with senior Technical Program Managers and cross functional teams to deliver mechanical, electrical, and infrastructure deployments in fast paced environments.
This is an excellent opportunity for a junior level professional looking to grow within data center construction and technical program management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support senior Technical Program Managers in the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects within data center environments
- Assist with day to day coordination between contractors, vendors, engineers, landlords, and internal stakeholders
- Track project schedules, procurement activities, RFIs, submittals, punch lists, and overall construction progress
- Support installation coordination for electrical systems, cooling systems, structured cabling, and network infrastructure
- Participate in project meetings and document action items, risks, and status updates
- Assist with commissioning, turnover, and project closeout activities including documentation review and field validation
- Support issue tracking and escalate construction or schedule risks when appropriate
- Coordinate field walks, logistics planning, and contractor activities to ensure project milestones are achieved
Required Qualifications:
- 4 plus years of experience supporting construction management or technical project management
- Experience in commercial, industrial, or mission critical environments
- Experience with MEP systems including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing
- Understanding of low voltage infrastructure and structured cabling
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative environment
- Focus on candidates with data center or MEP exposure
- Strong coordination and communication skills required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting data center construction projects
- Experience using tools such as Procore, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, JIRA, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Exposure to commissioning and closeout processes
- Targeting junior level candidate
Salary : $40 - $45
