Overview

We are seeking an experienced Maximo Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support a long-term FEMA program focused on enterprise asset management and lifecycle modernization efforts. This individual will serve as the lead technical authority for IBM Maximo environments, supporting architecture, implementation, optimization, integrations, and operational improvements across complex enterprise systems.

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in IBM Maximo, full lifecycle implementations, integrations, automation, and enterprise asset management within large-scale environments.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical SME for IBM Maximo including architecture, configuration, customization, integrations, deployments, and operational support

• Lead Maximo implementation and optimization efforts across enterprise environments

• Support asset management, work management, inventory, procurement, contracts, scheduling, analytics, reporting, and integrations

• Collaborate with stakeholders, developers, and operations teams to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions

• Support system integrations, automation, and data migration initiatives

• Troubleshoot performance issues and optimize system functionality

• Support deployments, upgrades, and platform enhancements

• Ensure alignment with IT security, governance, and operational best practices

• Identify technical risks and provide mitigation strategies

• Support process automation and continuous improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications

• 12 years of IBM Maximo experience

• 3 full-cycle Maximo implementations

• Strong experience with Maximo architecture, MIF, BIRT reporting, automation scripting, and integrations

• Experience with APIs, REST/SOAP web services, and middleware platforms

• Experience supporting enterprise asset management environments

• Strong troubleshooting, performance tuning, and deployment experience

• Experience working directly with stakeholders and leadership teams

• Strong communication and documentation skills

• Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field

• Ability to obtain DHS Public Trust clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• IBM Maximo certifications

• PMP or SAFe Agile certification

• Experience with Jira and Confluence

• Experience supporting federal or public sector environments

• Knowledge of FedRAMP, data governance, and compliance standards

• Agile project experience
