About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and patient-focused Radiologic Technologist to join the diagnostic imaging team at Mount Nittany Health in State College, PA — a 150–500 bed community hospital in the heart of Central Pennsylvania. In this role, you will prepare patients for radiological examinations, perform diagnostic imaging procedures as ordered by physicians, and assist the Radiologist during fluoroscopic and special procedure examinations. You will operate CR, Fluoro, and DR rooms, manage PACS image transfers, and provide exceptional care to patients across the Emergency Department, Operating Room, PACU, and inpatient nursing units. This is a well-rounded general radiology role ideal for technologists who thrive in a busy, full-service hospital environment.

Requirements

• Active ARRT(R) registration (must be currently active)
• Active Pennsylvania state license (must be currently active)
• Minimum 1 year of experience performing radiological procedures in a hospital, clinic, or physician's office preferred
• Current BLS certification per American Heart Association standards required
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Completion of an ARRT-approved specialized training program in Radiological Technology required
• W-2 employees only — 1099 not accepted
• Holiday coverage not required

Skills & Competencies

• Operation of CR, Fluoroscopy, and DR imaging rooms
• PACS image transfer, document scanning, routing, and priority management
• Portable radiographic equipment operation across ED, OR, PACU, and nursing units
• Proper sterile technique in OR and special procedure settings
• IV and oral contrast media preparation and administration
• Contrast reaction recognition and documentation
• Radiation safety practices consistent with ALARA standards
• Patient identification, positioning, and exam explanation
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
• Equipment troubleshooting and basic adjustments
• Radiology student instruction and clerical office support as needed
