Job Description

Casino Fandango is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented, and guest-focused Cage Cashier to join our Swing Shift team. The Cage Cashier is responsible for accurately processing financial transactions, safeguarding casino assets, and delivering professional guest service while maintaining compliance with Nevada gaming regulations and company policies.

The ideal candidate demonstrates integrity, strong cash-handling skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced casino environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, professional, and efficient customer service to casino guests and team members.

• Accurately process cash transactions, slot ticket redemptions, gaming chip exchanges, check cashing, and other authorized cage transactions.

• Verify guest identification and transaction eligibility when required by company procedures and applicable regulations.

• Maintain accurate cash drawer balances and account for assigned funds throughout the shift.

• Count, verify, and reconcile assigned cash banks at the beginning and end of each shift.

• Complete required transaction records, balancing reports, and supporting documentation accurately.

• Identify and promptly report cash discrepancies, suspicious transactions, counterfeit currency, and irregular activities.

• Follow applicable Title 31/Bank Secrecy Act, anti-money-laundering, and transaction-reporting procedures.

• Maintain the confidentiality of guest financial information and casino financial records.

• Coordinate with Cage leadership, Slots, Table Games, and other departments to support casino operations.

• Follow established security procedures for safeguarding funds, restricting access, and handling cash transfers.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and secure work environment.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.

• Must obtain and maintain Nevada Gaming Employee Registration as required by law.

• Must meet applicable gaming registration, background investigation, and suitability requirements.

• Previous cash-handling or cashiering experience preferred; casino cage experience is a plus.

• Strong basic math skills and the ability to count and reconcile cash accurately.

• Familiarity with computer systems, cash-counting equipment, and 10-key preferred.

• Ability to identify discrepancies and maintain accurate financial records.

• Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality.

• Ability to remain calm, professional, and accurate during busy periods.

• Must be available to work Swing Shift, including weekends and holidays as scheduled.

• Must comply with company policies, gaming regulations, and established internal controls.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand or remain at a workstation for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Ability to perform repetitive cash-counting, keyboarding, and reaching activities.

• Ability to lift and transport cash drawers or supplies within established job requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Schedule

Swing Shift: Afternoon/evening hours, including weekends and holidays as scheduled.
