SECURITY OFFICER

Job Description:

Security Officers are responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for guests, team members, and company assets while supporting the overall operations of the Security Department. Security Officers are expected to enforce company policies and procedures, comply with applicable laws and regulations, and provide professional and courteous service to guests and team members.

Job Requirements:

• Assist with maintaining the safety and security of guests, team members, and company property.
• Support the enforcement of gaming regulations, company policies, procedures, and applicable local, state, and federal laws.
• Respond to and assist with security-related incidents, emergencies, and other situations as needed.
• Prepare accurate and detailed incident reports in accordance with company standards and procedures.
• Provide assistance, guidance, and direction to guests and team members as appropriate.
• Assist guests and team members with lost and found items in accordance with company procedures.
• Conduct investigations, inspections, interviews, and other security-related activities as directed.
• Perform arrests and other law-enforcement-related duties within the scope of applicable laws, regulations, training, and company procedures.
• Maintain a visible security presence throughout the casino and surrounding property.
• Protect company assets and assist in identifying and addressing potential security risks.
• Maintain clear and effective communication with Security Management and other departments.
• Work outdoors and in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, snow, rain, and other inclement conditions. Duties may include shoveling snow and other outdoor activities as required.
• Follow all safety rules, security procedures, and company policies and maintain required certifications and training.
• Maintain a positive, professional, and courteous demeanor when interacting with guests, team members, vendors, and other individuals.
• Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive security-related information.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous security, law enforcement, military, or related experience preferred.
• Must be willing and able to engage in physical activity, including responding to and managing physical confrontations when necessary, while maintaining composure and exercising sound judgment.
• Ability to work effectively with supervisors, peers, and team members in a collaborative environment to identify and resolve issues, including those involving multiple departments.
• Proficiency in operating a personal computer and related technology, including Microsoft Office Suite, Paycom, proprietary programs, and other software or devices as required.

Additional Requirements:

• Must provide a current DMV driving record/printout as required.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to perform the essential functions of the position.
• Must be flexible and available to work any shift, including varying days off, weekends, holidays, and other operationally necessary schedules.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Ability to interact with intoxicated or impaired guests in a calm, professional, and courteous manner.
• Ability to respond appropriately to guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints.
• Must be able to work in an environment that may include exposure to secondhand smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, dust, and other environmental conditions.
• Must be able to respond quickly and appropriately to emergency and security situations.
• Must maintain all required training, certifications, and registrations applicable to the position.
