Position: Production Manager
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:
- Organizes and manages daily operational requirements to consistently meet customer expectations through on the floor involvement
- Oversees implementation of employee development programs to ensure company needs are met relative to employee knowledge, training, and development
- Directly supervises production supervisors, monitors lead and hourly employees. Advises direct reports on proper handling of disciplinary actions, performance assessments, and overall communication with hourly associates
- Sets expectations, tracks result and manages accountability
- Monitors staffing needs to allow company objectives to be met
- Ensures a positive environment is maintained to allow for maximum employee involvement through department meetings, open door policy, team activities, and empowerment
- Champion for company-wide safety programs and initiatives
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of supervisory experience with a significant level of responsibility with operations and personnel or commensurate experience gained from on the job training
- Food Manufacturing experience required
- Demonstrated leadership ability and strong communication skills
- Personal computer skills including MS Word and Excel
- Ability to work within timelines and in pressure situations
- Ability to handle multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The environmental factors and/or physical requirements of this position include the following:
- Exposed to climate-controlled office environments, outside conditions and processing plant conditions.
- Physical ability to travel to other Case Farms complex locations as needed.
- Requires out of town travel and overnight trips occasionally.
- Work in wet and damp environments with temperatures of 34°F to 85°F and at times below 0°F.
- Exposure to Sodium Hydroxide residues (caustic), Ammonia (NH4), Iodine (I), Carbon Dioxide (CO2), and Chlorine (Cl2). Noise levels of 95.1 dB and at times over 3%.
- Continuously standing and walking on slippery concrete, handling product below 0°F and above 100°F, lift cases weighing >70 lb approximately 3 to 5 feet from floor and carrying approximately 20 feet to inspection station.
- Person(s) will potentially work in these conditions for a period of 8 or more hours daily.
