Contracts Specialist Job Summary:
The Contracts Specialist position will assist the Deputy General Counsel, Corporate Contracts Counsel, and other members of the legal team, home office leadership team, and the field leadership teams for a growing post-acute healthcare organization with 50 locations across Idaho, Montana, Washington, Oregon, Arizona, and California. This role focuses primarily on drafting, reviewing, and managing a high volume of vendor contracts and related documentation in support of facility and home office operations.
The position also supports the implementation and ongoing management of a Contracts Management Solution to improve contracting efficiency, visibility, and standardization across the organization.
The Legal Department supports the organization in (i) acquisitions and transitions, (ii) contracting, (iii) risk management and records requests, and (iv) regulatory compliance. The Contracts Specialist would work with and support the department primarily in connection with contracting activities.
The ideal candidate possesses a strong attention to detail, a practical approach to problem-solving, and an interest in working collaboratively in a fast-paced, mission-driven healthcare environment.

Duties/Responsibilities
- Meets with Corporate Contracts Counsel, Legal Team, Organizational and Facility Leadership Teams to support vendor contracting-related projects and activities
- Reviews, revises, drafts, and negotiates a high volume of routine contracts, including vendor agreements, service agreements, NDAs, and other operational documents
- Maintains and manages contract databases and tracking tools to ensure timely execution, renewal, and compliance with contractual obligations
- Assists with the implementation and ongoing administration of a Contracts Management Solution, including organizing contract data, templates, and workflows
- Coordinates with internal stakeholders to gather required information, ensure alignment with business needs, and facilitate contract execution
- Identifies and escalates non-standard contract terms, legal risks, or compliance concerns as appropriate
- Assists in developing and maintaining standard contract templates, playbooks, and contracting guidelines
- Works closely with field personnel to provide practical support and guidance related to contracting processes
- Organizes, maintains, stores, and retrieves contract files and documentation for the legal department
- Assists with the management of outside vendors or contract-related service providers as assigned; and performs other related duties as assigned.

- Bachelor’s degree required;
- J.D. preferred but not required; and
- 2–5 years of experience in contract drafting, contract management, legal support, procurement, or related field; healthcare or multi-state operational experience preferred but not required.
