  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, regulatory requirements, and internal policies
  • Provide technical leadership on complex accounting areas (leases, REIT structures, debt/lender accounting)

Modernize & Automate

  • Transition accounting to a system-driven, highly automated environment
  • Eliminate manual processes, workarounds, and spreadsheet dependency
  • Build toward a streamlined close, with minimal manual intervention

Enable Field Performance

  • Support a field-first model by delivering timely, actionable financial insights
  • Ensure rapid delivery of unit-level reporting and performance metrics post-close
  • Partner with operations to provide clear, relevant financial benchmarks

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
  • 10 years of progressive accounting experience, including significant leadership experience
  • Proven experience as a Controller, Assistant Controller, or Director of Accounting in a complex, multi-entity environment
  • Experience managing and developing managers and/or team leads
  • Strong preference for experience in healthcare, multi-site operations, or similarly complex industries
  • CPA license strongly preferred
  • Deep knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
  • Demonstrated experience leading audits and working with external auditors
  • Strong technical accounting skills and ability to navigate complex accounting issues
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and influencing skills
  • High attention to detail paired with strong business acumen
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Strategic mindset with a hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves approach
