Maintenance Assistant

Full-Time Maintenance Assistant - Crown Point Health Campus

Join our team at Crown Point Health Campus, a well-established Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living Facility. We’re seeking a Maintenance Assistant who is hands-on, detail-oriented, and committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive maintenance and repair on facility equipment, furnishings, and grounds
• Follow established safety protocols and maintenance procedures
• Complete and maintain timely work orders
• Maintain clean, safe, and serviceable equipment
• Perform regularly scheduled maintenance (weekly, monthly, quarterly, seasonal)
• Safely store and handle hazardous materials
• Assist with painting and upkeep of the facility
• Immediately report and correct unsafe conditions or defective equipment
• Coordinate with other departments to minimize disruptions to operations
• Be available for emergency facility needs as required
• Carry out other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Director
  
  
  

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a maintenance technician
• Strong knowledge of general maintenance processes and OSHA regulations
• Familiarity with tools, appliances, and devices used in facility maintenance
• Manual dexterity and strong problem-solving abilities
• Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs., bending, twisting, and standing for long periods
• Strong experience and skill in painting
• Valid driver’s license in good standing
• High school diploma or equivalent
