- Own the quality of food served across menus, production systems, and specs
- Make sure meals are prepared and served on schedule
- Oversee the tray line and meal distribution for accuracy and resident satisfaction
- Build and operate within the department budget
- Keep the department compliant with sanitation and food safety regulations
- Hire, train, and develop the dietary team
- Review performance and coach staff to a high standard
- Run test trays, tour reports, and resident admission interviews
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification
- ServSafe certification
- Knowledge of dietetic principles, food sanitation, and large-scale food service
- Experience building operational and capital budgets
- Strong communication skills with residents, families, staff, and leadership, with experience in long term care preferred.
