Position Summary: The ADON takes on some of the responsibilities of the nursing department, as may be delegated. Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- Assists and participates in the development, organization and implementation of
center.
- Confers with the Director of Nursing in assessing the quality of nursing care
practices.
- Assists with the development, direction, participation and evaluation of the
nursing employees, as assigned.
- Makes daily rounds to evaluate customer care, the progress of individual
educational needs.
- Remains cognizant of legal aspects of nursing practice, as well as government
customer care;
- Performs rehabilitation assessments upon all new admission and, as requested, for
- Performs or supervises the performance of restorative nursing;
- Serves as a liaison with all therapists: physical, occupational, and speech;
- Assures that the customer's individualized care plan is followed;
- Participates in Customer Care Plan Committee;
- Oversees the completion of the customer Minimum Data Set
- Assumes responsibility for utilization review procedures, as assigned;
- Acts as on-call nursing clinical resource person, as scheduled;
- Serve in the role of Medicare Services Coordinator as needed;
- Puts Customer Service First: Ensures that customers and families receive the
