Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to load, unload, and transport materials throughout the facility. This role is critical in ensuring efficient operations within our distribution center.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts, clamp trucks, and cranes to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload shipments with precision and care to prevent damage.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and safety standards while operating equipment.
- Assist in shipping and receiving processes, verifying the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Collaborate with warehouse manager to maintain an organized and efficient work environment.
- Perform heavy lifting as required, ensuring proper lifting techniques are utilized.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure safe operation and report any issues promptly.
- Build pallets or loads as necessary for efficient transport and storage.
Experience
- Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center setting is preferred.
- Experience working under the supervision of a warehouse supervisor or similar role is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks consistently throughout the shift.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
