Job mission

You are an integral part of a dynamic and innovative Learning and Development team, whose purpose is to create engaging learning experiences that support the development and growth of both the commercial (Boutique and Retail Partners) and corporate teams at Cartier North America. You will contribute to building a strong learning culture through the development of strategic programs, tools and trainings targeted at supporting the growth of both individuals and the business. As a part of this client-centric team, which is focused on supporting the development of Cartier employees throughout all points in the talent lifecycle, you will be partnering cross-functionally across the organization and within the team. While each person on this team is responsible for executing their areas of individual contribution with excellence, there is high value and expectation of supporting one another’s goals; in this role you will balance your time between working autonomously and in partnership in shared team goals. NOTE: This role is based in-person at our NY offices, fostering collaborative interactions with cross-functional teams.

Candidate Profile & Qualifications

  • Instructional Design
  • Utilize Instructional Design principles to develop exceptional high quality and impactful training programs, tools and materials (i.e. conduct needs assessments and skills gap analysis to identify learning and development initiatives, develop blended learning experiences and training materials in a variety of delivery modalities, build measurement tools assessing reaction to learning, knowledge transfer and application, and impact on ROI/ROE, etc.)
  • Develop instructional design materials and training content with high-quality visual design aesthetics.
  • Build complex, highly visible learning programs through analysis, storyboard, design, development, and measurement
  • Maintain a client-centric lens, utilizing Design Thinking and Creative Problem Solving
  • Drive for results by designing into all programs some level of efficacy measurement (Kirkpatrick model).

Learning & Development

  • Develop engaging, forward-thinking curriculum and programs aligned with both Group and Maison’s key priorities
  • Partner with Learning & Development leadership during the development of programs, TTT, and deployment of programs to the Boutiques, Retail Partners, Client Relations Center and Corporate Teams
  • Facilitate programs and trainings for the corporate audience and flex to support training in the Commercial market as needed (i.e. Instructor-led, Webinar, TTT, in Boutique, in Class, etc.)
  • Clearly and concisely present ideas to internal business partners
  • Utilize Adobe Creative Applications as well as Articulate, Captivate and Easygenerator to develop and format programs

Project Management

  • Manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ensure timely completion of all development stages and final roll out of complex programs and learning projects, leveraging project management expertise; plan, prioritize and organize work to meet development and launch dates
  • Execute formal reviews and the piloting of learning programs for Learning & Development leadership and business partners to secure sign-off at each designated milestone while keeping projects on time and within budget
  • Support with building the measurement strategy into the design of programs and report on overall program effectiveness and business impact post-implementation.
  • Set, track, and communicate goal progress for self and others

Building Relationships

  • Utilize strong social skills to instill trust and build broad networks with cross-functional partners across the organization
  • Cultivate consultative relationships with business partners and develop relationships with subject matter experts
  • Develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders across corporate and commercial audiences
  • Work with business partners to ensure training meets the needs of the individual stakeholders and audience members
  • Influence at all levels and demonstrate executive presence
  • Confidently deliver presentations and facilitate engaging trainings

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Instructional Design or curriculum design
  • Expertise in adult learning theory
  • Strong, elevated writing skills
  • Expertise in creating high-quality visual design aesthetics for a variety of instructional design materials and training content
  • Experience in the luxury market, a large scale retailor or hospitality; or extensive experience in an accredited educational institution with a personal passion for luxury
  • Significant first-hand design and development experience for the retail environment including product, client experience, leadership and operations preferred
  • Strong experience using development tools including Articulate, Storyline, Captivate, (Microsoft and Adobe Creative Applications), and Canva
  • Ability to effectively manage time, meet deadlines, and allocate and identify resources as needed
  • Is resourceful and able to work independently as well as collaborate with others
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Certifications in Instructional Design, Design Thinking, Kirkpatrick Measurement or other assessment certifications are a plus

Expected Salary Range: $115,000 - 130,000

Salary will be determined based on relevant skills and experience.
