Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed construction cost estimates, budgets, and bid proposals
- Review and analyze construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents
- Perform quantity takeoffs for labor, materials, and equipment
- Solicit, review, and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing
- Analyze historical cost data, market trends, and project risks
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering solutions
- Support contract negotiations and project handoff to operations teams
- Maintain accurate estimating databases, documentation, and records
- Collaborate with project managers and operations teams throughout the project lifecycle
- 3 years of construction estimating experience
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and labor costs
- Proven experience with quantity takeoffs and cost analysis
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
- Experience with commercial, industrial, or institutional construction projects
- Familiarity with estimating tools such as Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar
- Knowledge of contract types, bidding strategies, and procurement processes
- Cost accuracy and attention to detail
