Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Provide and assist with patient care through the cardiopulmonary processes of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation; monitors equipment and patient response to therapy and provides patient education as appropriate.
Contributes to cardiopulmonary and the hospital through support of philosophy, objectives, educational, and research efforts.
Responsible to operate and maintain various types of respiratory and cardiopulmonary equipment; including cleaning equipment and maintaining safety and infection control practices.
Responsible for completing patient documentation in the patient and departmental records, to include all EMR (electronic medical records).
Collaborate and communicate with patients, providers, and staff as they relate to patient assessment, treatment, satisfaction, outcomes, quality, and education; coordinate patient and/or provider schedules as appropriate.
Monitor and evaluate processes and workflows; provides recommendations to optimize performance/outcomes; works with clinic team and hospital leadership to implement recommended strategies.
Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements for all clinical services and evidence-based practices.
Ensure all established policies, procedures, standards of practice, and conduct guidelines are followed in accordance with all
applicable rules, regulations, and hospital policy.
Ensure all supplies, materials, and equipment inventories are maintained at appropriate levels to meet the demands of patient care, safety, utilization, and financial goals.
Maintains regular, predictable attendance according to hospital policy.
