Description: The Carroll College Department of Education invites applications for an adjunct instructor to teach the following courses for the Fall 2026 and Fall 2027 semesters:Fall 2026Science Concepts for the Elementary K-8 ClassroomDesigned for Elementary (K-8) majors, ED 201 develops the science content knowledge essential for teaching in elementary settings. Emphasis is on Life Science, Physical Science, Engineering Design, and science-technology-society (STS). Fall 2027Social Studies Concepts for the Elementary K-8 ClassroomStudy of core social studies content for K-8 teachers—world history and culture, geography, civics and government (including tribal sovereignty), and economics—with emphasis on Montana contexts and Indian Education for All (IEFA). The course develops concept mastery, facility with primary sources, maps, and data, and the ability to connect disciplinary ideas across the elementary curriculum. The successful candidate(s) will provide high-quality instruction to undergraduate students, fostering an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
