About the Role:
As a Cook, you will play a vital role in our team by preparing and serving delicious, nutritious, and visually appealing meals for our residents. You will:
- Prepare meals according to standardized recipes and special dietary needs.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen.
- Assist with serving meals to residents in the dining room or their rooms.
- Be flexible and adaptable, as schedules and needs can change.
- Contribute to a positive and team-oriented work environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of one year of experience in a professional kitchen setting (preferred).
- Experience working with dietary restrictions and preferences (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Excellent knife skills and cooking techniques.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team leading our younger crew members.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor, with a genuine interest in serving seniors.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
