Houseperson – Crowne Plaza Hotel

Maintains all corridors, vending areas, elevators and landings and service on guest floors, ensuring hotels areas standards of cleanliness. Provides linen supplies for rooms attendant’s and stock floor closets. Delivers and retrieves items by guest and floor supervises.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

• Check assigned floor closet and complete linen requisition to replenish linen supplies.
• Stock linen closets end of each shift.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage rooms remove trash from all landings wash all landing floors at begin and end of each shift remove all belongings and put in correct storage areas.
• Remove all dirty linen from assigned room attendant’s carts and place in chute.
• Remove all trash from assigned room attendant’s carts and cart rooms on each floor.
• Clean designated areas with proper chemicals, tools and equipment
• Extraction guest room floors and corridors as needed
• Service elevator landings as needed
• Clean elevator tracks daily on all floors
• Clean vending areas on all floors daily
• Check all stairwells for trash daily
• Sweep and mop all stairwells twice a week
• Wipe down all surfaces of vending machines, ice machines, wash all vending area floors daily
• Ensure that nothing is stored in stair wells
• Transport any room service trays or trash that may be in hallways to service elevator landings
• Dust all hallways high and low twice a week while looking at carpet for stains
• Remove any carpet stains that may be in the hallways of guest rooms
• Wash all windows on each floor as needed
• Vacuum all floors daily as needed
• Walk property daily for trash, cigarette butts and empty all trash outside public areas
• When deliveries arrive remove from dock and place in correct storage area
• End of day do a walk through to ensure all work was completed

Physical Demands

The position requires lifting and moving furniture as well as turning mattresses when covering shifts for subordinate personnel. When inspecting completed work or work in progress long periods of walking and standing is required. Cleaning responsibilities include frequent bending and twisting as well as stooping and kneeling. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
