We are seeking an energetic and dynamic Hotel General Manager to lead our hospitality team and ensure exceptional guest experiences. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of hotel operations, from guest services to financial management, fostering a welcoming environment that promotes excellence and efficiency. Your leadership will drive the success of the property, ensuring it meets and exceeds standards for quality, revenue, and guest satisfaction.
Duties
- Lead and supervise all hotel departments, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance, ensuring seamless operations.
- Develop and implement strategies to maximize revenue through effective pricing, sales initiatives, and marketing efforts.
- Manage hospitality operations budgets, monitor financial performance, and optimize resource allocation to meet financial goals.
- Oversee guest relations by ensuring high standards of customer service, resolving issues promptly, and enhancing overall guest satisfaction.
- Recruit, train, and manage hospitality teams, fostering a positive work environment that encourages professional growth.
- Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations while ensuring operational procedures align with industry standards.
- Oversee human resources functions such as staffing, performance evaluations, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure quality service delivery for all hotel amenities and supplies.
- Handle night audit procedures to ensure accurate financial reporting and reconciliation of daily transactions.
- Utilize hospitality management software to monitor operations, analyze data trends, and implement improvements.
Requirements
- Proven experience in hotel management or hospitality leadership roles with supervising experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of hospitality management principles including revenue management, budgeting, and financial operations.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and problem resolution.
- Demonstrated ability to manage hospitality teams effectively across multiple departments.
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse guest populations better.
- Experience with human resources functions such as staffing, training, and employee development.
- Familiarity with hotel management systems including front desk operations, multi-line phone systems, night audit processes, and reservation software.
- Exceptional leadership qualities with the ability to motivate teams and foster a collaborative work culture.
- Knowledge of resort operations is a plus; experience managing large-scale or luxury properties is preferred.
- Strong communication skills with excellent phone etiquette for handling guest inquiries via multi-line systems.
