Senior Tax Analyst

Carolina PRG has partnered with a large publicly traded company on a search for a Senior Tax Analyst to join its corporate tax team in Charlotte, NC. This role offers the opportunity to own key areas of ASC 740, drive process improvements, and collaborate across multiple functions in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.

Summary:

• Prepare and review complex U.S. federal and multi‑state income tax returns.
• Work closely with the Company’s outside service provider to assist with the federal and state corporate income tax returns, including preparing related workpapers and reviewing returns.
• Preparing the quarterly and year-end tax provision and tax-related financial statement disclosures.
• Reconcile tax accounts and prepare journal entries.
• Manage tax calendars, estimated payments, extensions, and notice responses.
• Maintain and enhance SOX controls and compliance documentation.
• Compile financial information and prepare filings for various reporting requirements
• Draft written responses to routine inquiries, IRS and state audits, and other correspondence.
• Identify and lead process improvement initiatives that streamline tax processes.
• Work closely with the Accounting and Finance team and provide support as needed.
• Assist with indirect tax ad hoc requests and projects, as needed.
• Optimize ONESOURCE provision and compliance processes, including automation initiatives.
• Leverage Alteryx to streamline workflows and improve data accuracy.

Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 4 years of corporate tax or public accounting experience with ASC 740
• Advanced proficiency with Excel, ONESOURCE, and Alteryx
• CPA or Master’s in Accounting
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex provision and compliance activities
• Experience working cross‑functionally with Finance, Accounting, and Legal teams
