The Sr Tax Analyst partners with members of the tax team and financial management team to define and execute the Company’s tax compliance strategy and planning to ensure maximum profitability. Income Tax – Senior Accountant will support various tax functions including Federal, State and Local tax compliance, estimated tax payments, tax provision computations, internal controls, internal/external audits, forecasting/tax planning and various special projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- In-house preparation of Federal, State and Local tax returns along with all supporting workpapers and reconciliations.
- Monitor the Federal, State and Local tax compliance calendar for filings and estimated payments.
- Assist with the preparation of the tax provision under ASC 740 along with all supporting workpapers and reconciliations.
- Monitor and assist with the preparation of responses to Federal, State and Local tax notices received to ensure all notices are responded to timely.
- Assist in developing and maintaining strong internal controls over tax compliance processes and information.
- Assist with audits and examinations by various taxing authorities and jurisdictions, including required internal and external coordination.
- Enhance the organization’s tax compliance documentation and processes, including level of automation.
- Assist with tax research and analysis of new or revised tax laws and the potential impact on the Company.
- Assist with tax research and analysis in response to requests from other business areas with regards to fees, assessments, tax forms (including forms 1099), withholding, federal income tax, state income tax, etc.
- Work on special projects and tax planning as needed.
- Adhere to all Company and departmental policies and procedures.
- Actively participate in the building of a professional, proactive, responsive, technically strong tax organization
Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Abilities:
- Working knowledge of: U.S. Federal; accounting for income taxes; controls and processes; tax compliance systems (focusing upon automation)
- Demonstration of progressive career growth
- Strong, demonstrated technical competency to achieve business objectives
- Large corporate tax provision/compliance software (OneSource preferred) competence
- Competence using tax research software competence

- Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Tax or Accounting
- 2 years of tax accounting experience with a public accounting firm or corresponding in-house experience with a publicly-traded company
- Current CPA or CPA certification in process preferred
Salary : $100,000 - $125,000
