Accounts Payable Manager

Carolina PRG is working with a growing industrial services organization to identify an Accounts Payable Manager to lead the AP function for a high-volume, multi-entity environment. This opportunity offers strong visibility across the accounting organization and the ability to drive process improvements, enhance operational efficiency, and partner closely with leadership in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the full cycle accounts payable process including invoice processing, coding, approvals, and payment execution
• Partner with accounting leadership during month-end close activities including accruals, reconciliations, and financial reporting support
• Build and maintain strong vendor relationships while resolving discrepancies and ensuring accurate vendor records
• Support and improve corporate card administration, reporting, and compliance processes
• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, reduce manual processes, and improve scalability within the AP function
• Assist with onboarding and training of newly acquired locations on AP processes and systems
• Ensure internal controls and compliance standards are maintained across all AP activities
• Monitor AP metrics and provide reporting and operational insights to leadership
• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to improve efficiency and create a strong service-oriented accounting function

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• 5 years of accounts payable experience within a high-volume environment
• Strong understanding of full-cycle AP operations and internal controls
• Experience supporting process improvement initiatives and system optimization efforts
• Ability to manage deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Effective communication skills with the ability to work across multiple departments and locations
