Carolina PRG is partnering with a large, public company in hiring for a highly visible Accounting Manager role where you’ll work closely with senior leadership, gain exposure to enterprise-wide initiatives, and play a key role in shaping accounting processes at scale.
This role is focused heavily in continuous improvement and building, improving, and leading within a complex, evolving environment.
Position Responsibilities
- Own and lead key aspects of the month-end close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Manage and develop a team of accounting professionals—coaching, mentoring, and elevating performance
- Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, and senior leadership to drive insights and improve processes
- Ensure compliance with SOX and support both internal and external audit activities
- Contribute to technical accounting research and policy development under U.S. GAAP
- Lead process improvement and documentation initiatives across accounting workflows
- Support high-impact projects, including system implementations and operational enhancements

What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA preferred (or strong progression toward certification)
- 5 years of experience in public accounting, industry, or a mix of both
- Prior experience in a public company or large corporate environment (SOX exposure required)
- Proven ability to manage and develop team members effectively
- Strong technical accounting foundation and comfort working in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills and executive presence
Salary : $120,000 - $130,000
