What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Property Manager position at Carnegie?
Large commercial property management company seeks an Assistant Property Manager to oversee all upkeep, repairs and maintenance of an assigned portfolio of shopping centers, retail, office and government buildings.
Duties may include:
- Review invoices, prepare proper payment packages and authorize payment.
- Prepare work orders and obtain multiple bids for any needed repairs such as parking lot lights, asphalt repairs, striping, HVAC and roof leaks.
- Prepare and update property management reports.
- Review monthly operating statements and analyze variances.
- Respond to tenant requests in a timely, courteous and professional manner.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with tenants.
- Assist with the day-to-day management and operation of assigned commercial and government properties.
- Assist with periodic projects as needed
- Prepare work orders, purchase orders, and service agreements
This position is considered an interim step in anticipation of promotion to a full charge property manager within two (2) years. The successful candidate must demonstrate the work ethic, energy, organization, and positive attitude that is the hallmark of a good commercial property manager.
Prior experience in commercial real estate management is required for consideration.
Strong computer skills are required as is total familiarity with all Microsoft Office software. Reliable transportation and a valid Ohio driver’s license are required for travel to properties.
