Fire Pump Technician job open in Columbia, MD!
This is an entry-level position that will apprentice under a Senior Technician. Fire pump experience is not required. The company is looking for people who are mechanically-inclined with little to no experience.
Responsibilities will include inspecting, testing, repairing and troubleshooting Fire Pump Systems and Fire Protection Equipment. This person will diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system issues for Residential and Light Commercial infrastructure. This position plays a critical role in ensuring fire protection systems remain operational and ready to perform during emergencies.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Knowledge of diesel engines, electric motors, controllers, and fire protection systems is a plus
- Ability to read schematics, and technical manuals
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record

- Complete service reports, inspection documentation, and deficiency reports
- Ensure compliance with fire protection standards
- Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles in safe operating condition
